Flattened beads in two sizes chase each other in this colorful chocker necklace. The Murano glass beads come in two varieties: the smaller ones are made to shine by the precious silver placed underneath the glass; the bigger ones have a colored pastel core and are submerged in colored transparent glass.
The simple beads leave room for the true protagonist: the bright color, that make this jewel an original and spirited addition to your style.
It's part of our Schisse Collection, which means something that is flattened, compressed. It's usually the technical term with which beadmakers indicate this kind of beads, that are made by flattening a molten sphere of glass using pliers. Beautiful in their simplicity, these jewels do not distract from the elegance of their beads.

Why Miani Venetian Jewelry?
We are a small family-run workshop in Venice, Italy. Our jewelry is designed and assembled by us, and the beads we use are made of Murano glass and handcrafted by us in our shop and by other venetian artisans.
Our beads are crafted following the traditional lampworking technique, an art that goes back to at least the 17th century. It requires the use of a small burner to melt coloured glass canne - sticks - over a copper stick, where it is shaped using brass pliers.
Various decorating techniques are then used to make each bead a unique work of art.
